There was a meeting today at Sertoma Park.
There are plans in the works for Yuletide, shooting for a Dec 17 date if we can find a location. The event/moot will have a paper making workshop and a couple of other classes still being confirmed. Depending on the site there might be fighting space. Feast is bring a contribution to share rather than a prepared feast for a fee. So bring your period (or sorta) dish to all to the feast. So far a soup for lunch is being donated by Matt. Mor and Ole are bringing an assortment of meats, Valbrandr is bringing venison sausage, Rue and Mouse are bringing shortbread. Contact Matt to get your contribution to the feast added to the list so we don’t get duplicates.
We are also looking for an indoor space for fighter practice & non-fighting activities (during the same time) for now through March 1st. We have up to a $500 budget. The location should have heat, electricity, access to a bathroom and enough room to comfortably fight and enough space for people gather.
Roxanne is planning a kumihimo workshop. Contact Roxanne if you have interest so she can coordinate the class.
Mor is planning a silk painted pennant workshop in March. Please let her know if you arev interested now as we will need to do a group purchase of paints and fabric beforehand as these are very specific supplies that are needed.
Next meeting is tentative to be held briefly during the December moot. The meeting after that would be January 22nd, location to be announced. January agenda includes discussing any officer change overs, possible deputies for offices etc. Valbrandr has stated he intends to step down so the group is looking for a new Seneschal.
